What Documents Are Required For Registration

Below Are Mentioned Documents Required For Marriage Certificate -

  • Application form completely filled and duly signed by the couple (husband and wife).
  • Application form completely filled and duly signed by the couple (husband and wife).
  • Residential proof (ration card or voter I-card)
  • Affidavit from husband and wife in prescribed format given separately.
  • Proof of date of birth of both husband and wife (10th standard certificate)
  • Two passport sized photo of both husband and wife separately and one photo of their marriage.
  • Marriage invitation card can also be provided if it is available.
  • In case of a widow or a widower, present a copy of death certificate of the spouse and in case of a divorcee, a copy of divorce order.
  • In case of Hindu marriage, if one party is of other caste as Buddhist, Jain or Sikhism, the priest who performed the act marriage requires a conversion certificate.
  • In case, if an applicant is non-citizen, an original NO Objection Certificate issued by the High Commissioned Authority has to be submitted with the application form.
  • If marriage has been performed at a religious place, then a solemnization certificate issued by the concerned priest is required.
  • A Gazetted Officer as the witness is required ready with its official seal and Official Identity Card.

Important Note: All documents produced have to be attested by the Gazetted Officer at the time of registration.
